Hot air ballooning over Yangshou

Tourists visiting The Guilin/Yangshou Valley in China's Guangxi province now has a novel way of experiencing the destination’s iconic mountain landscape – via a hot air balloon ride.
The Guangxi region has inspired Chinese artists and poets for centuries. It is internationally renowned for its amazing landscape, which until now could only be viewed safely from the ground.
“For the first time, international visitors will be able to experience this truly spectacular area from the air in balloons operated to the highest international standards. We are the only ballooning operator able to offer this security,” said Diana Mo, marketing director at the newly established China Hot Air Ballooning. The company is a joint venture with Outback Ballooning, one of the leading ballooning operators in Australia.
Visitors can choose either Guilin or Yangshou as the launch site. The 60-minute flight is normally conducted in the morning between 5 am and 6 am to give participants a memorable sunrise view of the landscape. Each balloon can carry up to 10 people.
Afternoon flights are also available on request.
