Customers of Hotel Jen Hongkong have received notices from sales and marketing director Doris Chan that the hotel will be “rebranded as Traders Hotel Hongkong on August 1, 2010”.
Although owned by Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts, the 280-room property did not fall into its management portfolio. Once incorporated into the chain’s fold, it will be the first Traders for Hongkong.
According to Chan, the process entails "much more than just a simple change of name". She said they would be providing "a new and expanded selection of programmes, services and facilities". Traders hotels are known for their prime locations in major business centres in Asia and the Middle East as well as offering value stays. Sheung Wan, where Hotel Jen is located, is within easy reach of Central, Lan Kwai Fong and Soho.
